I absolutely cannot understand the negative reviews. I booked my appointment spontaneously online β just half an hour beforehand β and had virtually no waiting time when I arrived. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful. My application for a new ID card was handled by a very nice employee (from the Rhineland) β pleasant, quick, and straightforward. I was also pleasantly surprised by how child-friendly they were, as I was there with a stroller. Also of interest to others: the building is wheelchair accessible via the elevator on the side. I will always choose the Heepen office in the future and can wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone in the district!

I applied for a new ID card. Everyone was friendly and the appointments were kept. One thing really surprised me, though, is that I still need a second appointment to pick it up (in 2024). I really thought it would finally be more convenient; oh well, maybe next time in 10 years π .

Everyone was friendly; I don't know what the other reviewers were complaining about. Perhaps one should remember that people there can also have a bad day, and if you remain friendly yourself, everything usually works out. Waiting about 5 minutes longer than necessary is perfectly acceptable.

Very unfriendly. They abuse their power. Especially the person in position 2 is incredibly unfriendly and thinks they're something special. If you arrive a little late, even though the place is empty, they don't check your ID. Instead, you have to take a new number and then wait another hour. I call that arbitrary. I also work in the public sector, and if we worked like that, there would only be complaints. Humanity is completely absent here.

Sometimes you need a new ID card. So I had my picture taken, made an appointment at the Heepen Citizens' Advice Bureau, and submitted the application. Eventually, a letter arrives, and then I can pick up the new one. So I made another appointment: Monday morning at 9:15 a.m. At 9:06 a.m., I arrived at the Citizens' Advice Bureau. It was empty, not a soul in sight! I sat down on a chair and waited for my number to appear on the display. A few seconds later, a number appeared. Not mine, but an earlier one. She was supposed to arrive at counter 6. It was still completely empty. I briefly considered my options; perhaps I could save a few minutes during peak business hours! I went into the "office"! All the counters were empty! Ahhh, counter 6 was a side room. The door was open, and two women were sitting opposite each other, chatting; one was applying hand cream. I said, "Good morning, there's no one out there. I have the following number!" The woman finished applying hand cream, looked up at me, and said with a smug, arrogant smile, "Well, I guess you'll have to wait!" I was so speechless that all I could manage was "OK!" I left, closed the door, and sat back down in the chair. Still alone! Well, it was 9:15 on the display, and shortly after, my number appeared. I was to go to counter 4. So, back into the "office" I went! I had just sat down next to the woman at counter 4 when the "cream lady" from counter 6, freshly manicured, came in and said to her colleague, "I'm going on my break now!" I wanted to shout, "WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING UNTIL NOW?"βbut I thought to myself, "Shut up!" Arguing with Verdi sympathizers or even civil servants is pointless! They always need at least β¬500 more, have too little "me time," and a terrible work-life balance! After the official ceremony of receiving my new ID card was over and I left the "citizens' advice bureau," I thought to myself: Why did I put up with this? After all, I'm paying their wages with my taxes!
