Photos and Atmosphere in the Former Church Hall
Those looking for Haus Wellensiek photos usually want more than just a bare room specification. This is where one of the strengths of the location lies: The official gallery shows the hall as a bright, open, and adaptable space, where the character of the former church hall remains palpable to this day. This is important for the visual impact because it becomes clear at first glance why the space feels different from an ordinary seminar room. It combines historical architecture with functional clarity, and this tension creates the special atmosphere that is visible in photos. ([hauswellensiek.de](https://www.hauswellensiek.de/galerie/?utm_source=openai))
The history also shapes the impression of the place. The current Haus Wellensiek has evolved from a church space and was later converted into an event venue. The official website emphasizes that the space is flexible and can be equipped according to the occasion with row seating, U-shape, or open area. This results in images that not only convey beauty but above all credible impressions: A space that does not appear artificially staged but possesses its own character. Those viewing Haus Wellensiek images quickly recognize that here, tranquility, history, and usability come together. For seekers who want to check atmosphere, light, and spatial effect in photos, this is a strong advantage. ([hauswellensiek.de](https://www.hauswellensiek.de/der-saal/))

For events with seating, up to 100 conference chairs are possible; additionally, 16 tables and 3 high tables are available. This is remarkably flexible for a historical church hall, as the space is not limited to a single format. Small workshops with 20 to 25 people can be just as well implemented as smaller concerts with around 80 guests. This range makes Haus Wellensiek interesting for business formats, cultural events, and private celebrations. ([kulturamt-bielefeld.de](https://kulturamt-bielefeld.de/kultur-service/raeumlichkeiten/haus-wellensiek/))
The equipment also includes a kitchenette with dishwasher, dishes, cutlery, coffee machine, and kettle, two toilets, a small storage room, a small terrace, a backstage area or wardrobe for artists, as well as Schuko-type power connections. Technically, WLAN, projector, screen, lighting, and a sound system from Yamaha are available; two professional spotlights are located in the gallery. The hall itself has a wooden floor, while the gallery has carpet, which facilitates use for different formats. These details are important not only for organizers but also for SEO searches for Haus Wellensiek equipment, Haus Wellensiek gallery, or Haus Wellensiek events. The location is thus not only atmospheric but also functionally well-equipped. Those seeking a mix of character and practicality will find here a space that visually impresses and at the same time provides enough infrastructure for seminars, lectures, conferences, exhibitions, and cultural evenings. ([kulturamt-bielefeld.de](https://kulturamt-bielefeld.de/kultur-service/raeumlichkeiten/haus-wellensiek/))

History of Haus Wellensiek in Bielefeld
The history of the house is an important part of its current impact. The official history page describes that the first service in Wellensiek took place in 1929 in a classroom after many houses were completed in the district. An actual church building could not initially be realized, but in 1935, the foundation stone was laid on the relinquished garden parts of the houses Wellensiek 106 and 108. Thus, a small chapel was created, which was used as a worship space on Sundays and as a community hall on weekdays. Even this early dual use is remarkable because it anticipates the current character of the building: a place that was never intended for a single purpose. For all those interested in the history behind Haus Wellensiek Bielefeld, this is an important hint at the deep roots of the building in the neighborhood. ([hauswellensiek.de](https://www.hauswellensiek.de/geschichte/))
In the following decades, the building gradually developed further. In 1951, an extension was built with a church hall and a small community room; later, windows, benches, and the connection between the church and hall were changed. From 1981 to 1983, another extension was added because the community grew and needed more space. After the upheavals of the 2000s, the former Christuskirche was finally sold; the community house part was converted into an apartment, and the former church space was converted into an event space. The history page explicitly states that many celebrations and concerts have taken place there since then. This explains why Haus Wellensiek is perceived today as a place with a soul: It is not just a rented hall but a space whose history has remained visible. This origin also explains why the location receives so much attention in search queries for photos, reviews, or special features. Those seeking a historical atmosphere get a real background here instead of just a backdrop. ([hauswellensiek.de](https://www.hauswellensiek.de/geschichte/))
Reviews, Practical Tips, and Visitor Advice
In search queries like Haus Wellensiek reviews or reviews for Haus Wellensiek Bielefeld, the first impression often plays a significant role. The official website highlights a Google rating of 4.8 stars, which underscores the positive perception of the house. At the same time, one should consider the location for what it is: a historical, individually usable space with clear rules and a rather quiet character. The official FAQ points out that the hall is suitable for many types of events but not for parties. So, for those looking for a venue with atmosphere, good accessibility, and a serious framework, this is a suitable choice. For seekers who primarily check reliability and usability in reviews, this is an important signal. ([hauswellensiek.de](https://www.hauswellensiek.de/?utm_source=openai))
It is also practical that the house covers several visitor needs simultaneously: public transport connections via city train line 4 and bus lines 62, 21, as well as 61, 62, and 165; parking options at the university; two reserved parking spaces for organizers; and step-free access via a side forest path. At the same time, one should consider the historical building fabric, as the sanitary facilities are on the ground floor but only partially wheelchair accessible. For organizers, this means: Travel is well-planned, but it is worthwhile to coordinate precisely regarding equipment, setup, and accessibility. Those who consider photos, directions, and reviews together get a very coherent overall picture: Haus Wellensiek is not a standardized location but a characterful event venue with history, good location, and sensible equipment. This is where its SEO and usability value lies. ([hauswellensiek.de](https://www.hauswellensiek.de/anfahrt/))

A beautiful venue for special occasions! I rent the Haus Wellensiek weekly for yoga classes that I offer there. My yoga participants really enjoy the special charm of the place. The room and the sanitary facilities are well-maintained and always clean. Communication with the landlord is straightforward. They respond to requests. There are plenty of parking options. A great location for various events. 👍🏼

I hosted a creative birthday at Haus Wellensiek and I am super satisfied, both with the contact and the value for money, as well as with the general spatial possibilities! This definitely won't be my last celebration there, highly recommend it for sure.

We had a 70s party - coffee starting at 2 PM, etc. About 50 guests were invited. The catering for dinner was ordered. The facilities are excellent for such a celebration, including the technology. No wishes were left unfulfilled. In such a setting, it was also very fitting that the party ended at 9:30 PM due to the neighborhood.
