Love it at the City Central Library..They have so much to offer..From sewing groups, language groups, things for kids. Aside from fees sometimes being high when things are late. They do give you a one day extra grace period to return items. You can also renew books and movies online..Also helpful..This Library is my favorite in Bielefeld..A wide selection of books..Including other languages in English, Chinese, Turkish, Russian and etc..Staff is also super friendly..If you need a quiet study room with you and someone else..They have that too..On the next floor above..The workers are also very friendly..Very clean environment..Bathrooms also well kept..It's a 5 star review from me..Also they are now open on Sundays..Good for me and my kids..

You can sit there read newspapers or magazines and more for free

The Library is very near from central station of Bielefeld, with a very good collection of books ranging from subjects like history, politics, current affairs, specialized subject books & many more in different languages. It is really a big place for students & people who want to sit back, read & study. The building is modernly built one with cleanliness all around. Their decoration is also good, silent environment and friendly staff. They also offer places for kids, the kinder section is nicely decorated, colourful and clean. Two problems I found: There is no place for kinder stroller, so I was in trouble with the stroller, though the receptionist helped me later. But they should have a place for it. Now the temperature is so high, I think they don’t have AC. I went there 3/4 times in this summer, but the environment was so sticky, hot and not comfortable.

Whenever I go there to photocopy, the machine never works and I always put some cents but never be able to get them back. If you provide photocopy service in the library it's better to do it with a working machine. I hope you fix this problem soon.

Now open on Sundays! On Saturday mornings they offer a story time for the kids, on occasion also in English.
