Frieda Braun ignites a fireworks display of eccentric stories in Bielefeld
When Frieda Braun steps onto the stage, the everyday life suddenly develops herpes labialis, rain jackets develop personalities, and Count Dracula finds himself in a highly unconventional neighborhood. In the preview of her 12th program Concocted, the cult figure from the Sauerland presents new stories with sharp linguistic wit, unmistakable facial expressions, and precise body language.
A solo full of wit and stage magic
Frieda Braun combines stand-up elements, cabaret, and narrative comedy into a laughter experience with her unique signature. Her timing is impeccable, every pause works like a perfectly placed period, and her stage presence transforms small everyday situations into great comedic catastrophes. The audience experiences a comedic atmosphere in which even a skeptical glance conveys more than many novels.
Mia, Lisbeth, and Heinz create delightfully eccentric moments
The focus is on new characters and stories from the Frieda-Braun universe. Mia battles a talking herpes labialis, Lisbeth trains her body control, and tech geek Heinz explains what innovative rain jackets, Count Dracula, and pot geraniums have in common. This sounds like a question for advanced learners – and this is exactly where Frieda Braun's special humor begins.
Preview with special allure
Concocted was created in collaboration with Belgian director Joseph Collard. The preview offers comedy fans the opportunity to experience the new solo live early: with pointed observations, lovingly exaggerated characters, and an audience reaction that reliably oscillates between spontaneous laughter and appreciative head shaking.
Comedy with facial expressions, body language, and perfect timing
Frieda Braun doesn't need a big effects machine. Her most important stage techniques are voice, facial expression, posture, and interaction with the imagined audience. Small gestures evolve into entire scenes, a sentence grows into a punchline, and a seemingly harmless rain jacket becomes a case for humorous forensic investigation.
