Autumn Dreams: Classical Guitar Meets the Sound World of Tango
On October 10, 2026, Bielefeld-Brackwede will transform into a place of finely nuanced sound colors: Guitarist Byeongro Kim, together with flutist Yeseul Bahng, will present the concert Autumn Dreams. For one hour, classical guitar music, chamber music dialogues, and the passionate atmosphere of Astor Piazzolla's Histoire du Tango will take center stage.
Between Autumn Light and String Magic
Byeongro Kim presents selected solo works by Francisco Tárrega, Fernando Sor, and Miguel Llobet. Their compositions showcase the classical guitar in its full range of expression: from warm, singing legato to precise rhythmic figures and intricate polyphony.
Virtuoso Chamber Music with Special Color
A musical highlight emerges in the interplay of guitar and flute. Together with Yeseul Bahng, Kim interprets Astor Piazzolla's Histoire du Tango and blends classical concert culture with the pulsating sound language of Argentine tango. The careful synchronization of breath, attack, and dynamics promises a multifaceted concert experience.
Two Artists with Solid Training
Byeongro Kim was born in 1991 in Busan, South Korea. He completed his bachelor's degree at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin, and subsequently pursued a master's degree at the University of Music and Dance Cologne under Gerhard Reichenbach. In addition to solo and chamber music performances, he teaches guitar at the Bielefeld School of Music and Art.
Yeseul Bahng is studying for a Master of Music at the Berlin University of the Arts. She is a scholar of YEHUDI MENUHIN Live Music Now Berlin and is engaged as the second flutist at the Braunschweig State Theatre.
A Musical Evening for Reflection
The compact concert duration of 60 minutes creates space for concentrated listening and immediate audience proximity. Expect warm guitar resonances, clear flute tones, and a varied program between Spanish guitar tradition and passionate tango.
Admission is free, donations are welcome. Those who want to experience classical guitar, finely tuned chamber music, and Piazzolla's expressive sound world live will find a captivating concert evening at Autumn Dreams in Bielefeld-Brackwede.
