Quantum Trio brings chamber music colors to Sennestadt

On Sunday, November 8, 2026, the Sennestadthaus in Bielefeld invites you to a special chamber concert. The Quantum Trio, featuring Ann Lepage on clarinet, Johannes Przygodda on cello, and Bokyung Kim on piano, combines three characteristic timbres into an intense concert experience in the lecture hall of the Sennestadthaus.

Rare instrumentation, great musical expression

Clarinet, cello, and piano encounter an unusual sonic balance in this configuration. The warm breath of the clarinet, the singing tone of the cello, and the precise sound of the piano create a finely tuned interplay. The ensemble has been performing together since 2019 and became acquainted at the University Mozarteum Salzburg.

From romantic depth to modern sound language

The program includes Max Bruch’s Eight Pieces op. 83, Mikhail Glinka’s Trio pathétique in D minor, Gabriel Fauré’s Trio in D minor op. 120, Paul Juon’s Trio Miniatures, and Daniel Schnyder’s A Friday Night in August. The dramaturgy leads through romantic sound worlds, virtuosic dialogues, and a modern, rhythmically dynamic musical language.

Precision and musical tension

The Quantum Trio is one of the rare ensembles of its kind and has been recognized for its coordinated playing and expressive stage performance. The debut CD featuring works by Brahms, Kahn, and Frühling was released in 2023 in co-production with Deutschlandfunk Kultur on the Hänssler Classic label. Industry media praised the recording with excellent reviews; the ensemble also received a nomination for the Opus Klassik in the category Best Chamber Music Recording 2024.

Live atmosphere in the Sennestadthaus

In the lecture hall, an immediate chamber music atmosphere is created, where nuances, breath, and articulation become particularly audible. The audience's mood thrives on the proximity to the stage and the direct communication between the three musicians. An evening for classical music fans, explorers of demanding chamber music, and all those who wish to experience musical intensity without a large orchestra.

Conclusion: Experience chamber music up close

The chamber concert with the Quantum Trio promises a varied evening of romantic sensitivity, virtuosic synchronization, and contemporary sound. Anyone who wants to experience the unique sound world of clarinet, cello, and piano live should mark November 8, 2026, in the Sennestadthaus.
