The choral project Open to All invites you to the Johanniskirche Bielefeld starting November 9, 2026. Together with the church choir of the Lydia community, an Advent program for choir and instruments will be created under the direction of city cantor Ruth M. Seiler.
Four Rehearsal Evenings with Musical Anticipation
On four Monday evenings, participants will meet from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM for joint rehearsal work. The program includes Advent music spanning various eras and styles. The open project structure is aimed at everyone who enjoys singing and participating in church music.

The project phase concludes with an Advent concert on December 6, 2026. Together with the Sudbrack trombone choir, the project choir will present the developed program in the Johanniskirche. The dress rehearsal will take place on December 5 at 4:15 PM; on concert day, vocal warm-up starts at 4:15 PM, with the concert beginning at 5:00 PM.
