75 Years Accordion Studio Orchestra Bielefeld: A Gala Evening Full of Sound Colors
The Accordion Studio Orchestra Bielefeld is celebrating its 75th anniversary with a festive gala concert at the Rudolf-Oetker-Halle. On Saturday, November 7, 2026, the ensemble combines artistic original music, film music, Argentine tango, and popular music into a musical journey through seven decades.
Virtuoso Orchestration and Great Musical Diversity
In the Great Hall of the Rudolf-Oetker-Halle, the accordion reveals its full tonal range. Precise synchronization, colorful orchestration, and the dynamic stage performance of the Accordion Studio Orchestra lead through a program that connects classical concert culture with popular sound worlds. The program includes original compositions for accordion orchestras, film music, and well-known works from rock, pop, and tango.
From Film Music to Libertango
The gala concert relies on strong contrasts: Following virtuosic original music, atmospheric film melodies like Hedwig's Theme from Harry Potter will be presented, before titles like Lady Madonna by The Beatles, Libertango by Astor Piazzolla, Adiemus by Karl Jenkins, and We Are the World set new musical accents. This creates a varied concert evening between dramatic sound, dance-like rhythm, and catchy melodies.
World Premiere for the Anniversary
A special highlight is the world premiere of a new work by Helmut Quakernack, composed specifically for the anniversary. Under his direction, the evening receives a personal musical signature. The concert also highlights the accordion as the instrument of the year 2026, emphasizing the expressive power of this versatile instrument.
Together on Stage
Additional tonal colors are provided by the Chorschule Brackwede, the Trio con abbandono, the Rock The School Band, and the children's accordion orchestra. The various ensembles expand the sound image, turning the gala concert into a cross-generational concert experience with a festive atmosphere, musical energy, and visible joy of playing.
Conclusion: An Anniversary Concert with a Special Stage Moment
The gala concert in the Rudolf-Oetker-Halle connects 75 years of orchestral tradition with new impulses and surprising musical encounters. Visitors can expect a festive evening with a great live atmosphere, varied music, and a special world premiere. Those who want to experience the anniversary of the Accordion Studio Orchestra Bielefeld up close should secure their tickets in good time.
