On Monday, October 12, 2026, the Bielefeld Theater invites you to a special evening at the Stadttheater Loft: In Ingo Explains the Opera, a relaxed conversational atmosphere meets musical excerpts, pointed humor, and exciting insights behind the scenes of music theater.
When Questions Turn into Genuine Passion for Opera
Ingo Börchers, a cabaret artist based in Bielefeld, brings the big and small questions surrounding opera to the stage. Together with the music dramaturgs of the theater, he delves into stories, compositions, productions, and anecdotes from theater life.
Musical Excerpts in a Relaxed Atmosphere
The evening combines expert mediation with an immediate concert experience. Musical examples illustrate how orchestration, voice, stage performance, and scenic effects come together. Alongside, a drink, personal exchange, and an audience vibe that sparks curiosity instead of creating inhibitions will be present.
Opera as a Powerhouse of Emotions
Whether a grand aria, dramatic conflicts, or subtle musical details: The event showcases opera as a vibrant art form between music, theater, and storytelling. Ingo Börchers provides a light-hearted perspective while the dramaturgy frames the evening with expertise and conveys connections clearly.
