IST IST brings dark post-punk to Bielefeld

On October 17, 2026, the Movie in Bielefeld transforms into a resonance space for driving bass, angular guitars, and electronic tension: IST IST is coming to Germany as part of their EUROPE OCTOBER 2026 tour.

Manchester meets modern post-punk energy

The band from Greater Manchester combines the bubbling atmosphere of classic post-punk with precise electronic production. Adam Houghton, Mat Peters, Andy Keating, and Joel Kay create a sound that oscillates between powerful bass, distinctive guitar lines, synthesizer pads, and focused drumming.

Between darkness, dynamics, and driving sound

IST IST stands for a stage performance with clear orchestration and intense audience atmosphere. Their music works with contrasts: heavy rhythms meet melodic tension arcs, while reduced passages open up to powerful choruses. In the Movie, this results in an immediate live atmosphere where every bass impulse becomes physically palpable.

The tour for the current album Dagger

With Dagger, IST IST released their fifth studio album in 2026. The work follows Architecture, The Art of Lying, Protagonists, and Light a Bigger Fire. The band's previous development has led to rising positions in the UK album charts; Light a Bigger Fire reached number 25, Protagonists number 41. For the European tour, this promises a focused mix of new songs and standout pieces from their existing discography.
