Six Centuries of Music in Impressive Sound Architecture

The program leads through different epochs of organ music. Works by Johann Pachelbel, Robert Schumann, and Charles-Marie Widor showcase the stylistic range of the instrument: from baroque clarity to romantic timbres to French orchestral opulence. In the church's acoustics, registers, dynamics, and polyphonic lines unfold a special spatial effect.
