French Organ Art in Zion Church Bethel

On Sunday, October 4, 2026, Christof Pülsch transforms Zion Church Bethel into a resonance space for French organ music. The one-hour organ concert begins at 5:00 PM and features sonorous works by César Franck, Louis Vierne, and Jean Langlais.

Orchestral Sound Colors on the Church Organ

With César Franck's Grande Pièce symphonique, a key work of the French organ tradition is on the program. Franck unfolds a symphonic sound language on the organ, where registration, dynamics, and musical architecture merge into an orchestral overall picture.

Spiritual Depth and Virtuoso Lines

Louis Vierne's Messe basse combines a liturgical atmosphere with finely nuanced sound colors. Jean Langlais complements the program with Prélude sur une Antienne and Rhapsodie grégorienne. Gregorian-inspired lines, striking harmonies, and differentiated sound layers shape the concert experience.

Christof Pülsch at the Organ

Christof Pülsch has been the church musician in the Zion congregation Bethel since 2006. After studying Protestant church music in Detmold and organ in Piteå, his repertoire includes music from the Baroque period to the present, with a particular focus on the 20th and 21st centuries.

Live Atmosphere in Zion Church

The acoustics of the church space give room to the registers and allow soft lines to stand out just as much as powerful tuttis. Between sacred tranquility, rhythmic precision, and colorful orchestration, an intense audience mood arises that makes organ music directly experienceable.

Conclusion: A Concert for Sound Explorers

The organ concert offers a concentrated encounter with three formative voices of French organ music. Those who want to experience the expressive stage performance of Christof Pülsch and the sonic richness of Zion Church live will find a special concert evening in Bielefeld on October 4, 2026.
