Between Viennese Classicism and Romantic Sound Language

The program connects the clear formal language of Joseph Haydn with the poetic depth of Frédéric Chopin. The classical repertoire is complemented by compositions of Maya Ando. Thus, a musical tension arc arises between precise articulation, subtle dynamic transitions, and romantic timbre.

A Pianist with International Concert Experience

Maya Ando was born in Shizuoka, Japan, and studied at the music universities in Hannover and Detmold. In Detmold, she completed her concert examination and worked as a lecturer for piano until 2022. Her concert activity has taken her through numerous countries in Europe and to Japan. Her musical stations include performances at the Bayreuth Festival, with the Festival Strings Lucerne and at the International Liszt Festival in Raiding.

Virtuosity, Expression, and Immediate Live Atmosphere

At the center is the stage performance of a solo pianist who combines technical precision with personal design. Haydn's structural clarity, Chopin's tonal legato, and Ando's own musical perspective promise a varied concert experience. In the special acoustics of the church space, attack, resonance, and aftersound can have an immediate effect.

A Distinguished Musician with Her Own Artistic Signature

Maya Ando won, among others, the first prize at the Don Vincenzo Vitti Music Competition in Italy and at the International Johannes Brahms Competition in Austria. Her thematically designed concert programs open new access to classical music and connect music-historical classification with vivid interpretation.
