Rockin' Blues Session: Bielefeld experiences blues, R&B and spontaneous stage magic
On Sunday, October 11, 2026, the Extra Blues Bar will become a meeting point for handmade live music. At the Rockin' Blues Session, musicians from the region come together to share their joy of playing in an open, moderated session.
Blues with an open horizon
The musical focus is on blues, blues rock, and rhythm and blues. Stylistically, however, this is not viewed very strictly: improvisation, spontaneous twists, and different musical influences are part of the character of the evening. This creates a lively sound between earthy groove, bluesy tension, and free stage performance.
The evening begins with an opener band
At 7:00 PM, an opener band kicks off the concert evening and sets the foundation for the right live atmosphere. By 8:00 PM at the latest, the moderated session takes over. The dramaturgy connects a concentrated start with open interplay and allows room for musical surprises.
Music to listen to and participate in
The Rockin' Blues Session is aimed at both the audience and musicians. PA, bass amp, and drums are available on site. Anyone who wants to participate should bring their own instruments. This keeps the event accessible and immediate: every groove can develop, every solo can set new impulses.
Intimate club setting in the Extra Blues Bar
The Extra Blues Bar on Siekerstraße provides the perfect setting for an evening with direct stage sound and short distances between musicians and audience. In this club atmosphere, the dynamics, synchronization, and spontaneous communication of the session are particularly intense.
Conclusion: Experience blues live
The Rockin' Blues Session promises a free concert evening with regional musicians, blues rock, rhythm and blues, and plenty of room for improvisation. Anyone who wants to experience the charm of real live atmosphere and unplanned musical moments will find an authentic meeting place at the Extra Blues Bar on October 11, 2026.
