Triosence brings SongJazz to life
On Friday, October 16, 2026, Triosence transforms the Bunker Ulmenwall into a resonance space for melodic jazz, fusion, folk, pop, and world music. As part of the Bielefelder Keys Days, the distinctive style of the renowned trio meets the intimate live atmosphere of the Bielefeld concert venue.
Melodies with depth and expanse
Triosence describes its own style as SongJazz: catchy, clearly structured compositions combine with improvisational freedom. Piano, double bass, and drums operate as equal voices. From this interplay, transparent sound images, subtle rhythmic shifts, and melodic arcs emerge, alternating between lyrical calm and dynamic stage performance.
A trio with an international profile
Since its founding in 1999, Triosence has developed into a staple of modern German jazz. The band won first prize at the Youth Jazz competition, received cultural and composition awards, and made a strong entry into the international jazz charts. Their discography includes albums like First Enchantment, Away for a While, Hidden Beauty, Scorpio Rising, Giulia, and Stories of Life.
Jona Hahn opens the evening
The concert evening opens with Essen-based jazz pianist and composer Jona Hahn. In his solo program, he combines jazz piano, neoclassicism, and ambient music. Composed passages meet free improvisation, as the piano shifts between meditative reduction and spontaneous dynamics. Hahn was awarded the Steinway & Sons Jazz Promotion Award in 2023.
