Art Promotes Children: Bielefeld Charity Art Auction at the Lokschuppen
On Saturday, November 14, 2026, the charity art auction combines the enjoyment of art with social commitment. Under the motto Art Promotes Children, Round Table 17 Bielefeld invites you to the Lokschuppen. Visitors will discover selected artworks while supporting the children's charity project Fruchtalarm.
Free Tour of the Exhibition
From 2:00 PM, the Lokschuppen opens for reception and free viewing of the exhibited works. The exhibition offers time for a personal tour, discussions about art, and the selection of a potential favorite piece before the auction begins.
Exciting Auction Starting at 3:00 PM
The approximately 90-minute auction starts at 3:00 PM. The auctioneer will call out the works listed in the catalog one by one and guide the proceedings. The starting bid is 17 euros. Individual minimum bids apply to specific works, which are known to the auctioneer.
Art Enjoyment with Social Impact
Many artists and galleries support the event with generous donations of works. Normally, half of the hammer price is donated to the Fruchtalarm project, with some artists even waiving their fee entirely. Fruchtalarm brings joy, distraction, and valuable moments to children with cancer in hospital wards through colorful fruit cocktails.
An Afternoon for Art Enthusiasts and Activists
The market atmosphere of an auction here is created not by sales stands but by the direct encounter of art, the audience, and social commitment. In the historic Lokschuppen, art enthusiasts can expect a concentrated afternoon marked by regional connection, craftsmanship quality, and the opportunity to acquire an original for their own home.
Admission to the event is free. Bidders combine the personal shopping experience with a donation for children in difficult life situations. Visitors can expect an inspiring art afternoon with concrete impact. Experience the charity art auction live at the Lokschuppen and give art a social perspective.
