An afternoon full of art, encounters, and enjoyment
The Kiju Art Coffee at the AWO Children's and Youth House Brake transforms the afternoon on November 7, 2026, into an open meeting place for art enthusiasts. Seven artists present a diverse panorama of contemporary works – from established positions to pieces by first-time exhibitors.
Diversity between icon, portrait, and abstraction
The exhibition connects different artistic forms of expression: religious icon sketches collide with portraits of famous personalities, abstract works with vibrant acrylic paintings, precise pencil drawings with photographic works. This heterogeneous selection offers a varied viewing experience and makes the exhibition a lively artistic experience for different generations.
Seven artists, one common exhibition space
Bärbel Spieshöfer, Andrea Maier, Zeljko Dragic, Elisabeth Karakatsani, Claudi Heidemann, Mary Mati, and Anna Kleimeyer showcase their works in a communal presentation. The curation thrives on the different styles, materials, and imagery. Especially the direct comparison reveals how diverse painting, drawing, photography, and religious art respond to personal experiences and cultural themes.
Art viewing in a relaxed atmosphere
The Kiju Art Coffee combines aesthetic experience with sociable exchange. After the champagne reception, coffee and cake or waffles invite visitors to linger; additionally, grilled food will be offered. This creates an accessible exhibition atmosphere where art is experienced not distantly but as a shared experience in the Brake district.
Conclusion: Discovering art and engaging in conversation
The Kiju Art Coffee promises an inspiring afternoon with diverse art, personal encounters, and culinary accompaniment. Those who want to experience different techniques, visual languages, and artistic perspectives in a relaxed atmosphere should definitely visit the exhibition live on November 7, 2026, at the AWO Children's and Youth House Brake.
