Printing Without Pressure: Creative Print Art at the Peter August Böckstiegel Museum

On Friday, October 23, 2026, the Peter August Böckstiegel Museum invites young adults and adults to an inspiring workshop into the world of print graphics. Under the guidance of Hannah Göhler, participants will create their own printed image step by step from an initial idea.

From Idea to Personal Artwork

The entire creative process is the focus: Participants develop a template, try out a simple printing technique, and realize their image idea into a personal artwork. The October session is dedicated to working with stamps, thus providing an immediate, playful access to print art.

Experimenting Without Prior Knowledge

The workshop is aimed at (young) adults and is explicitly suitable for people without prior experience. In designing, applying, and printing, curiosity, a desire to experiment, and joy in personal expression are what count. The event combines cultural education, practical art mediation, and a relaxed event experience in a special museum atmosphere.

Art, Exchange, and a Personal Perspective

The museum's event management relies on a concentrated yet open atmosphere. Between paper, color, and motifs, space for exchange and individual design is created. A drink is included in the participation fee and rounds off the creative evening.

Workshop Series with Different Printing Techniques

Printing Without Pressure is part of a three-part series. In September, Tetra Pak printing is the focus, in October the stamp technique, and in November the soft cut linocut. The dates can be booked individually; participation in all three events additionally offers a varied insight into the versatility of print graphics.

Conclusion: Creative Break at the Böckstiegel Museum

Visitors can expect a hands-on art workshop with personal support, new design ideas, and visible results. Those who want to not just observe but also experience print art will find an inspiring evening at Printing Without Pressure, surrounded by the museum, materials, and their own visual language.
