Celebrate Together at the Street Festival for Young and Old in Bielefeld
On October 31, 2026, the Freiraum Rochdale in Bielefeld will transform into a vibrant meeting point for community, culture, and shared experiences. The street festival combines live music, DJ sounds, spoken word, and creative participation opportunities into a varied afternoon for families, friend groups, and everyone who wants to experience an open neighborhood festival with a festival atmosphere.
Live Music, DJ Sounds, and Spoken Word
The program features Enne von Welt, Rythms of Resistance, and Pätmän von Schmu. DJ Moh completes the musical lineup with danceable sounds, while spoken word by Najla adds additional linguistic and artistic accents. Between open-air acoustics, encounters, and spontaneous conversations, a versatile cultural program emerges right in the middle of the festival grounds.
Creative Program for the Whole Family
The street festival is explicitly aimed at young and old. A mobile play area, future, craft, and dance workshops, as well as free haircuts ensure movement, creativity, and visible variety. Free food and hot drinks turn the afternoon into a communal neighborhood experience.
Freiraum Rochdale as a Meeting Point
The Freiraum Rochdale at the site of the Rochdale Barracks stands for encounters and community activities. The festival is organized by WohnraumStattWaffen – Initiative for a lively Bielefeld. The event combines festival culture with neighborhood work and creates space for music, exchange, and joint creation.
