75 in Self-Experiment: Experience Care Up Close
How does your own body feel at 75 years old? At the GENIALE Campus Day on October 9, 2026, Bielefeld University invites you to explore this question for yourself. Visitors will experience how movement, perception, and daily life can change in older age when wearing an age simulation suit.
Insights into the Skills Lab for Care
In the Skills Lab for Care, students at Bielefeld University demonstrate how practical actions are practiced under realistic conditions for future professional life. The event experience combines illustrative demonstrations with hands-on practice, making care education immediately understandable.
Join in, try out, and understand
The age simulation suit creates a unique event atmosphere: familiar movements suddenly seem more demanding, and perception and daily life appear from a new perspective. Professionals explain how care specialists support older adults and the importance of empathy, attention, and professional organization in everyday care.
Science Meets Practical Care
The event demonstrates how current research, nursing practice, and modern education work together. The target audience includes all interested parties; prior knowledge is not required. Children under ten must be accompanied by an adult.
Conclusion: Seeing Care with New Eyes
75 in Self-Experiment offers an interactive event experience for families, children, teenagers, and anyone who wants to understand care better. Those looking to get to know the professional life of aspiring care specialists and test their own perception will experience the GENIALE Campus Day directly in the Skills Lab at Bielefeld University.
