Sound Exploration in the Museum: Children Create Their Own Music
What does a museum sound like? During the Autumn Holiday Games discovering sound worlds, children aged 6 to 12 years explore this exciting question. In the Museum Peter August Böckstiegel, ears and imagination open up to sounds from the building and the surrounding nature.
Sounds Turn into Little Musical Pieces
In this family experience, children collect everyday sounds and explore how these can be transformed into electronic music. Afterwards, they learn about software for electronic music composition and turn their sound findings into their own sound carpets and little musical pieces.
Age-Appropriate Learning Fun with Plenty of Room for Experimentation
The workshop is designed to be child-friendly for children aged 6 to 12 years. No musical prior knowledge is required. Curiosity, enjoyment of experimentation, and a desire for creative learning experiences are at the center of this offering. Thus, the program combines cultural education, digital media, and active listening.
Shared Time Full of Wonder and Children's Laughter
When footsteps, voices, natural sounds, and museum atmosphere merge into a unique composition, children experience music in a whole new way. This enhances perception, creativity, and self-confidence. The cooperation with Bunker Ulmenwall e.V. adds a hands-on approach to electronic music during the autumn holidays.
Well Organized and Well Prepared
The event takes place indoors at the museum and is exclusively aimed at the age group of 6 to 12 years. Participation requires registration at the Museum Peter August Böckstiegel. Families receive a clearly structured, supervised holiday workshop with age-appropriate tasks and a safe environment.
