Prompt2Play: Digital Ideas Become Small Games in Bielefeld

During the autumn holidays, the Bielefeld City Library opens its GamerSpace for a creative digital adventure. In the multi-day workshop Prompt2Play, children and teenagers jointly develop digital games or small applications and gain initial practical experience in software development.

With Language, Artificial Intelligence, and Personal Ideas

The focus is on what's called vibecoding. With the help of natural language and artificial intelligence, initial digital prototypes are created. Participants experience how an idea can gradually become a playful project. This connects media competence, creativity, and collaborative learning in a modern workshop atmosphere.

Collaborative Development in the GamerSpace

The workshop takes place in the GamerSpace on the second floor of the Central Library. The digital co-working station creates space for exchange, joint experimentation, and personal solutions. The event is aimed at children and teenagers between ten and 15 years old who are curious about game development, digital applications, and artificial intelligence.

Holiday Program with Practical Learning Factor

Prompt2Play combines playful experimentation with a contemporary target group approach. In the event planning of the city library, not only technology is emphasized: Teamwork, idea generation, and the courage to try out new things are also part of the concept. This creates a vibrant audience atmosphere where digital education becomes directly tangible.

The workshop runs from October 20 to 22, 2026, each day from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Participation costs 5 euros. Registration is required; individual days cannot be booked separately.

Conclusion: Three Holiday Days Full of Digital Discoveries

Prompt2Play offers young participants a focused entry into creative software development. Those who want to design digital games, get to know new technologies, and work on their ideas together with others will find a suitable learning and experience space at the Bielefeld City Library.
