From Old to Art: Creative Collage Workshop for Children
In the autumn holiday workshop at the Peter August Böckstiegel Museum, children aged 6 to 12 transform everyday materials into imaginative artworks. Together with Maria Ferreira-Obenhaus, they explore how personal collages are created from photos, fabric scraps, paper pieces, book pages, and magazines.
Cutting, Ripping, Gluing, and Designing
Here, experimentation, combination, and amazement take place: The children cut and tear materials, glue different surfaces together, and create exciting patterns with stamps. Those who wish can add bright accents to the collage using acrylic paint. Step by step, a picture emerges that tells its own story.
Age-Appropriate Learning Fun with Many Design Options
The mixed media workshop fosters imagination, fine motor skills, and the joy of independent creation. Children experience that art knows no strict boundaries and different ideas can coexist. The open approach strengthens curiosity, expressiveness, and personal learning experiences in a child-friendly environment.
Shared Holiday Time at the Museum
Amid colorful papers, fabric structures, and bright colors, an inspiring family experience unfolds with children's laughter, wonder, and plenty of space for their own ideas. The event takes place indoors at the museum and is aimed at children aged 6 to 12. Registration is required.
Conclusion: The collage workshop combines creative freedom, age-appropriate art education, and shared time in the autumn holidays. Children can experiment, make their own stories visible, and take home a unique piece of art. Register now and discover mixed media live at the Peter August Böckstiegel Museum!
