A blank book becomes a creative challenge

In the autumn vacation program of the Bielefeld City Library, children aged 7 to 9 discover how a blank page turns into their very own story. In the workshop You Against the Book! A Blank Book Challenges You., the book becomes a curious counterpart that challenges its young designers with creative tasks.

Page by page to their own work of art

For three vacation days, children will paint, create, and write. They fill their book with colorful pictures and their own words, gradually developing a personal idea. This connection of creative expression, language, and imaginative storytelling creates an age-appropriate learning experience full of learning fun.

Creativity, language, and self-confidence

The family experience strengthens the joy of creating and opens a playful access to books for children. By inventing their own content, they train expressiveness, imagination, and concentration. Each page offers space for curiosity, wonder, and individual solutions – without pressure to perform, but with visible success experiences.

Quality time in the Central Library

In the children's room of the Central Library at Neumarkt, a protected, child-friendly atmosphere is created for focused work and group exploration. The multi-day setup gives children time to further develop their ideas and grow their book into a personal keepsake.

The own book to take home

At the end, the young book binders proudly take their self-designed work home. Thus, the children's program remains vibrant beyond the holiday day: as a visible reminder of children's laughter, shared time, and a creative learning experience.

Conclusion: Families can expect a warm, imaginative holiday offering that connects book design, language, and creativity. Those wishing to give their child a special family experience with lasting learning fun will experience three inspiring workshop days at the Bielefeld City Library.
