Shining Autumn Ideas at the Bielefeld Farmhouse Museum

When the leaves rustle outside and the days grow shorter, a creative family experience begins at the Bielefeld Farmhouse Museum: Children aged six and above create their own lanterns, combining nature experiences, craftsmanship, and fun learning.

Colorful Leaves, Wood, and Plenty of Imagination

To start, everyone goes into the forest to discover and collect colorful leaves. Afterwards, individual lanterns are created from wooden discs, sticks, and paper. Each child develops their own motif and experiences how a personal light object grows from simple materials.

Age-Appropriate Crafting with All Senses

The creative workshop is aimed at children from six years and promotes fine motor skills, concentration, and independent design in a child-friendly way. Sorting natural materials, planning their own design, and carefully assembling the lantern create a varied learning experience with visible results.

Quality Time in the Museum

Between historical buildings and autumn nature, a special atmosphere is created. Children's laughter, glowing colors, and working together make the workshop a warm introduction to lantern season. Accompanying persons can experience the creative family experience and support the children in their own designs.

Well Prepared for the Creative Adventure

Participation is only possible with a binding registration. The organizer requests that participants arrive about 15 minutes before the start. This allows enough time for arrival and a relaxed start to the workshop.

Conclusion: A Lantern with Its Own Story

The creative workshop combines nature observation, practical experimentation, and imaginative design. Families experience time together while children make their ideas visible and proudly take home a self-constructed lantern. Those who love autumn colors and enjoy working creatively will find a bright family program at the Bielefeld Farmhouse Museum.
