Holiday Games: To the Easel – creative holiday time at the Kunsthalle Bielefeld
Discovering colors, developing your own ideas, and experimenting with brush and canvas: At the Holiday Games To the Easel, children experience an inspiring morning full of learning fun and children's laughter at the Kunsthalle Bielefeld. The creative family experience is aimed at children aged 6 to 12 years.
Embarking on a journey of discovery with colors
The focus is on the world of colors. Children learn the basics of color theory and discover how colors, shapes, and different painting techniques work on a canvas. Then it's their turn at the easel: Each child creates their own artwork and can freely develop their personal image idea.
Child-friendly workshop with a real studio feel
Brushes, colors, and canvases create a special atmosphere where curiosity and joy in experimenting are central. The workshop combines practical creativity with aesthetic education and playfully strengthens perception, fine motor skills, and trust in one's own ideas. No prior knowledge is required.
Aged appropriately, active, and pedagogically valuable
The offer is designed for children aged 6 to 12 years and allows for an age-appropriate learning experience with plenty of space for independent creation. By experimenting with colors and techniques, children experience that there are different ways to achieve a successful result when painting. This open working method supports imagination, expressiveness, and personal development.
Important information for families
