Light Researchers Discover the Magic of Light
When light suddenly creates colors, makes shadows grow, or holds optical surprises, it begins an exciting journey of discovery for children. In the workshop “Light Researchers for 5 to 8 Year Olds” at the namu administrative building in Bielefeld, children explore the fascinating properties of light in a playful and age-appropriate way.
Wonder, Experiment and Research
With experiments and small trials, the young light researchers investigate everyday phenomena. They observe carefully, ask questions, and experience how curiosity leads to their own learning. The child-friendly program combines scientific learning with joy, movement, and shared time.
Creative Ideas Around Color and Light
A creative crafting action invites children to implement the impressions from the workshop themselves. Children can develop their own ideas, try out materials, and refine their perception of colors, shapes, and optical effects. This combination of experimentation, design, and learning fun supports concentration, creativity, and independent thinking.
Visit to the Special Exhibition Magic of Light
As a special highlight, a visit to the special exhibition “Magic of Light” is included in the program. There, children encounter further experiments and optical illusions. The exhibition visually illustrates scientific relationships and offers many conversation starters for families.
Age-Appropriate and Small Group
The workshop is aimed at children aged 5 to 8 years. The number of participants is limited to 10 children, creating a concentrated and personal learning atmosphere. The two-hour holiday program takes place indoors in the namu administrative building.
Conclusion: A Bright Family Experience
The workshop combines children’s education, creativity, and children’s laughter into a special family experience. Young researchers experience light not just as something ordinary, but as an exciting natural phenomenon to touch, observe, and understand.
