Monsieur Momo brings magical reading joy to Bielefeld

On Saturday, October 17, 2026, the Eulenspiegel bookstore will open its doors after closing time for a special family experience: Monsieur Momo will read from his children's book Määgic!. Children aged 5 and above will experience a humorous story about courage, imagination, and the search for their own magical place in the world.

A children's book reading full of wonder and children's laughter

Monsieur Momo, whose real name is Timo Lesniewski, combines his experience as a clown and stage artist with a lovingly told story. Momo sets off with his cuddle rabbit and a rickety suitcase, tries out different roles, and creates surprising, humorous, and magical moments.

The reading invites children and adults to listen together, laugh, and get excited. Pictures, imagination, and humorous mishaps create a child-friendly atmosphere where curiosity and imagination can thrive.

Being brave and finding one’s own path

The focus is on an important learning experience for young listeners: Everyone has special abilities and doesn't have to fit into a predetermined role. Momo shows that self-confidence grows when children discover their own path and remain true to themselves.

This makes the event suitable as age-appropriate reading fun for families who want to combine quality time with a pedagogically valuable story. Themes like development, self-efficacy, belonging, and courage are conveyed in a creative and understandable way.

Monsieur Momo: Clown, artist, and children's book author

Timo Lesniewski completed his training at the clown school in Hanover in 2013. As Monsieur Momo, he has since performed on stages of variety shows and circus rings, working, among others, with renowned venues like the Wintergarten Berlin and the Circus-Theater Roncalli. His stage experience shapes the lively, visual, and humorous narrative style of Määgic!.

The book is aimed at children aged 5 and above and playfully strengthens self-confidence, imagination, and the joy of reading aloud. This creates a warm cultural offering for families with learning fun and many conversation prompts for home.
