Spookily Creative Learning Fun for Children in Bielefeld
How were mummies actually wrapped – and what does paper have to do with it? In the Mummy Workshop for Halloween, children aged 6 to 10 will discover the origin of paper and transform fibers, water, and color into a personal artwork.
Research, Wonder, and Try It Out
The workshop combines exciting questions from history with an age-appropriate creative activity. Together, they will investigate the mummy question before the children make their own paper. During this process, they will experience firsthand how a new sheet is created from individual fibers.
Spooky Colors and Personal Paper Art
With spooky motifs and hauntingly beautiful colors, each child creates a unique sheet of paper to take home. Hands can go in the water, fibers will be explored, and their own imagination will have plenty of room. No prior knowledge is required – curiosity and a joy for messiness are enough.
Ages Appropriate and in Small Groups
The event is aimed at children aged 6 to 10. The participant number is limited to 15 people. The workshop is led by Olivia Kempa and Caro Pons. This practical learning experience promotes creativity, fine motor skills, concentration, and independent work in a safe, guided environment.
Well Prepared for a Family Experience
For the break, children should bring their own snack. Since the hand-crafted paper sheets are damp, a transport box is also recommended as part of the necessary equipment. Registration is required.
Conclusion: The Mummy Workshop combines children's laughter, Halloween spirit, and real do-it-yourself fun into a special shared time. Families experience a child-friendly workshop with learning fun, creativity, and a self-designed keepsake. Mark the date now and discover the family experience live in Bielefeld.
