Discover, marvel, and get creative together in the Splatter Studio
In the Parent-Child Course Splatter Studio, children aged 3 to 5 years explore a special family experience at the Peter August Böckstiegel Museum with an adult companion. During a discovery tour through the museum and artist house, selected artworks invite curious questions, little stories, and joint conversations.
Experience art with all senses
Colors, shapes, and exciting image ideas provide children with an age-appropriate access to art. The age-appropriate approach enhances attention, imagination, and language development. Children are encouraged to look closely, express their own thoughts, and share their personal impressions with the companion.
From museum visit to studio
After the tour, we get creative: In the studio, they paint, print, tear, cut, and glue. The little participants try out different artistic techniques. The open creative process supports fine motor skills, self-confidence, and the joy of personal expression.
Shared time for families
The Splatter Studio combines learning fun with children's laughter and valuable time spent together. Adults actively accompany the children, provide security, and discover art together with them. This creates a calm, inspiring atmosphere where curiosity and creativity are at the forefront.
Dates and registration
The three-part course takes place on November 12, 19, and 26, 2026, each from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM. The course is led by Karola Eisenblätter. It is aimed at children aged 3 to 5 years accompanied by an adult. Registration is done via email at buchung@museumpab.de or by phone at 05203 2961-220.
Conclusion: The Splatter Studio offers families creative discovery moments, child-friendly learning experiences, and plenty of space for imagination. Those who wish to experience art together and create with their own hands will find a special place for inspiring family time at the Peter August Böckstiegel Museum.
