What Package Inserts Conceal: Rethinking Medicines
Medicines help people but influence much more than just the body. The lecture What Package Inserts Conceal addresses the effects of medications on nature and climate and invites us to consider health issues in a broader context.
Health Does Not End with Consumption
The focus is on the traces that medicines leave beyond their medical effects. The lecture examines how medications are connected to natural cycles and what consequences arise from this for the environment, climate, and human health.
Science Made Understandable and Socially Relevant
The event is part of GENIALE 2026 under the guiding theme How Are We? and connects scientific perspectives with everyday questions. No prior knowledge is required. Thus, the offer is aimed at all who wish to consider health, sustainability, and responsible medication provision together.
A Lecture in the Knowledge Workshop Bielefeld
The Knowledge Workshop stands for an accessible connection between science and urban society. In a central location near Jahnplatz, the venue creates an open event atmosphere for lectures, exhibitions, and interactive educational offerings. The organization is managed by the Knowledge Workshop in collaboration with Bielefeld Marketing; the offer was developed by Health4future Bielefeld.
