Sustainable exchanging, browsing, and doing good in Bielefeld
On Friday, October 23, 2026, the AWO Multigenerational House, in cooperation with the BGW, invites you to the swap flea market at Heisenbergweg 2 in Bielefeld. From 2 PM to 5 PM, a simple shopping experience is created for everyone who wants to pass on well-preserved items, discover new favorite pieces, and support sustainable consumption.
Regional variety at the swap flea market
The focus is on clean and well-preserved clothing for adults and children, toys, board games, and books. Visitors can bring up to five suitable items and choose up to five other pieces from the available selection in return. Underwear, shoes, and socks are excluded from the swap.
Sustainability with social commitment
The swap flea market combines resource conservation with local neighborhood assistance. Instead of sorting out well-preserved items, they receive a second chance and go directly into new hands. All proceeds from the event benefit the children of the Bielefeld Women's Shelter and support their Christmas gifts.
Market atmosphere in the AWO Multigenerational House
While browsing through clothing, books, games, and toys, personal encounters take center stage. The AWO Multigenerational House provides an open framework for various generations as the event venue and promotes interaction, participation, and local togetherness. Small treats and drinks from the MGH kitchen complement the shopping experience. Donations are welcome for this.
Practical information for market visitors
No registration is required. Those who want to participate should bring up to five clean and well-preserved swap items and can choose up to five other items in return. The swap flea market takes place on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 2 PM to 5 PM at Heisenbergweg 2 in Bielefeld.
The swap flea market in the AWO Multigenerational House offers sustainable action, regional connection, and social commitment in a shared shopping experience. Stop by, browse, swap, and support the Christmas wishes of the children at the Bielefeld Women's Shelter with your visit.
