Reconsidering ADHD: Lecture at the Green Cube Bielefeld

AD(H)D shapes societal debates, personal experiences, and the view of mental health. The lecture ADHD - not always neurobiological invites participants to question common perceptions of Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and to consider the topic in a nuanced manner.

Between a Buzzword and Marginalization

The event focuses on public perception: AD(H)D appears in many discussions as a modern everyday term, yet those affected often experience stigma and exclusion. The evening aims to make these areas of tension visible and to open space for a shift in perspective.

A Lecture with a Societal Perspective

The central question is whether AD(H)D should be understood solely from a neurobiological standpoint. The announced lecture will consider possible causes and interconnections from an expanded perspective. It will address destigmatization, societal attributions, and a more conscious engagement with the topic.

The event takes place as part of the Mental Health Week from October 9 to 16, 2026. The environment in the district center Green Cube supports the open character of the evening: Information, reflection, and exchange are at the heart of the event experience.

Visitors can expect an informative evening on AD(H)D, societal perception, and possible explanatory approaches. Those who wish to understand the topic more deeply and question their own viewpoints can experience the lecture live on October 12, 2026, at the Green Cube in Bielefeld.
