BiSi in Bielefeld: Inclusion, Participation, and New Paths in Employment
How can social participation succeed when a chronic mental health or addiction condition makes access to work difficult? The event BiSi - Employment in the Social Space Inclusive will present a low-threshold and inclusive employment offer on October 14, 2026, in Bielefeld.
Employment in the Social Space
BiSi opens up individual opportunities for adults with mental health or addiction conditions to contribute to businesses, clubs, communities, and institutions. The focus is on tailored activities, social contacts, and employment that is oriented towards personal abilities and life situations.
Individual Support Instead of High Entry Barriers
The project follows the approach of first placing people in suitable employment and then providing targeted support. The BiSi team assists both participants and employment providers, clarifying frameworks and helping to identify and eliminate barriers early on. Thus, the event combines professional information with a concrete insight into modern social space and participation planning.
An Event in the Name of Mental Health
The event is part of the Week of Mental Health from October 9 to 16, 2026. Visitors will gain insights into the organization, event management, and professional target group communication of an inclusive employment project. Clear communication and wheelchair accessibility create good conditions for a barrier-free visit.
Conclusion: Making Participation Visible and Tangible
BiSi demonstrates how inclusive employment can work in the everyday life of a city: individually, socially oriented, and with reliable support. Those interested in mental health, social participation, and new employment prospects will experience an informative event in Bielefeld with high social relevance.
