Peer Counseling on Equal Terms: Insights, Exchange, and New Perspectives
What does peer counseling mean in everyday life? In this open discussion round at the Green Cube, peer counselors from the peer agency proWerk provide insights into their work and demonstrate how support on equal terms can succeed. The event takes place as part of Mental Health Week and is aimed at all interested parties.
Experience Becomes Qualified Support
Peer counseling combines personal experiences with professional qualifications. The peer counselors talk about how people in situations of mental distress or psychological crises can be supported. This creates a special event atmosphere: open, respectful, and characterized by genuine encounters.
Open Discussion Round with Space for Questions
The focus is on listening, asking questions, and participating in discussions. Participants will learn what peer support is all about, why an open approach to mental health is important, and how support services can become more accessible. The limits of professional implementation and the possibilities of peer counseling will also be addressed.
Event Experience in the Green Cube
The spacious room on the first floor of the community center Green Cube offers a suitable setting for information and exchange. The organization aims for a low-threshold target audience approach and invites people of different ages to break down barriers and discover new perspectives.
Conclusion
Visitors can expect an informative and personal afternoon focused on peer counseling, mental health, and support on equal terms. Those who want to learn more about peer support, ask questions, or exchange ideas with others should experience this event live at the Green Cube.
