Dribble, measure, and be amazed: Sports science to participate in
On Monday, October 26, 2026, the Knowledge Workshop Bielefeld will transform into an interactive playground for families. In the free participatory event Dribbling and measuring, soccer, movement, and research come together. Together with the Arminia Soccer School and the University of Bielefeld, children aged five and older will discover how sports movements can be made visible and measurable.
Race against your best time on the dribble course
In the slalom dribble course, every curve counts. With a ball at their feet, participants test their skill, coordination, and personal best times. The dynamic atmosphere combines playful competition with practical tips on healthy movement patterns.
When movement gets data
At another station, BiVital sensors demonstrate how physical activity can be captured and visualized directly. Experts and researchers explain clearly which measurement values are created and what they reveal about movement and the body. No prior knowledge is required, and sports clothing or personal equipment do not need to be brought.
Family program with soccer and research
The offer is aimed at families, children, and adults. Children under ten years old need an adult companion. As part of the Family Day Sports and Movement, the event combines the thrill of the playing field with scientific curiosity and makes sports science directly tangible.
Conclusion: Experience movement yourself
Dribbling and measuring offers four hours full of activity, discoveries, and soccer enthusiasm. Those who want to try out their technique, set a personal best time, and learn more about movement measurement will experience a varied family day at the Knowledge Workshop Bielefeld without registration and entry fee.
