All Inclusive: Between Vacation Dream and Crisis Reality
A sea of towels, two bodies and the eternal wish to finally relax: The collective OBJECTION brings an absurd, poetic performance with All Inclusive to the Theaterwerkstatt Bethel. On November 6, 2026, the stage transforms into a fragile vacation spot, where longings, vacation memories, and repressed crises intertwine.
When Relaxation Becomes a Stage Question
The production begins with a powerful scenic image: Two people lie in a sea of towels. The sun rises and sets again, while the vacation shines through as a promise in between. Yet the hoped-for relaxation remains fragile. The dramaturgy examines the desire for a good life as well as the crises that no one can permanently escape.
Material Theater with Sensual Visual Language
Towels become props, memory surfaces, and body coverings in All Inclusive. They carry traces of the most beautiful travel experiences, are washed clean of vacation sins, and wrap the figures in a quiet sense of possible order. The stage design by Ins Meyer connects concrete everyday materials with an open, changeable scenography.
Direction, Performance, and Video Art
Elisabeth Graaf and Laura Marleen Kreutz themselves stand on stage, blending performance with material and object theater. Irina Amstutz is responsible for the direction, and Anna Höllmüller for the text and dramaturgy work. Video art by Felix Zilles-Perels adds a visual layer to the theatrical atmosphere, while the production shifts between absurdity, quiet comedy, and societal observation.
A Stage Experience for Teenagers and Adults
All Inclusive is recommended for ages 12 and older and lasts 75 minutes. The performance focuses on the cultural choreography of traveling: on expectations, routines, consumption, and the longing for a place where everything should be easy at least once. It is precisely from this tension that the acting art of the collective gains its impact.
Conclusion: Vacation as a Poetic State of Emergency
The audience can expect an idiosyncratic, visually strong performance about relaxation, overwhelm, and the hope that in the end everything could turn out well. Those who want to experience contemporary theater, experimental dramaturgy, and sensual stage art will discover in All Inclusive a touching and at the same time irritating theatrical event. Reservations are possible at the Theaterwerkstatt Bethel.
