Brainstorm with Giulia Enders: When Science Meets Improvisational Theater
An evening where medical knowledge, spontaneous acting, and musical improvisation merge into a unique stage experience: On October 7, 2026, Giulia Enders will perform at Brainstorm in the Knowledge Workshop Bielefeld. The doctor and author encounters the improv professionals Nele Kießling and Marvin Meinold as well as the improv musician Jannis Kaffka.
The Body as a Surprising Stage Figure
At the center is Giulia Enders' new non-fiction book Organic. In it, she looks at the complex interplay of heart, lungs, muscles, immune system, skin, and brain. Her scientific perspective makes the human body a fascinating stage for insights, questions, and surprising connections.
Improvised Scenes, Songs, and Poems
The dramaturgy of this evening unfolds live before the eyes of the audience. A conversation about the body can transform into an improvised sketch, a scientific explanation into a musical, or a thought into a spontaneously composed stage design of language and movement. This very risk of the unplanned shapes the unique theater atmosphere of Brainstorm.
Science with Ease and Depth
The production combines well-founded information with comedic timing. Nele Kießling and Marvin Meinold, known as the improv duo Die Stereotypen, translate complex content into immediately understandable play situations. This creates a lively connection between knowledge transmission, acting, and audience reaction.
A Special Date of GENIALE 2026
The Brainstorm special takes place as part of GENIALE 2026 under the motto How Are We? The event series focuses on physical and mental health, bringing research, culture, and societal exchange together. The audience can expect a dynamic evening between stage, conversation, and spontaneous inspiration.
Conclusion: An Evening Full of Aha Moments
Brainstorm with Giulia Enders promises not an ordinary factual conversation, but a surprising stage experience with scientific precision, improvisation, and humor. Those who want to experience their own body from a new perspective and theater as an open space for thought will have an evening full of insights and unexpected twists in the Knowledge Workshop Bielefeld. The event is sold out.
