Blood, dark humor, and great musical energy in Bielefeld

On October 14, 2026, the Bielefeld City Hall transforms into a grotesquely comedic horror cabin: Evil Dead - The Musical combines the cult classics The Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2 with quirky songs, over-the-top theatrical wit, and a deliberately uninhibited stage show.

An abandoned cabin becomes the scene of horror

Five college students accidentally unleash a demonic force in a secluded forest cabin. As the group gradually turns into the possessed, Ash evolves from an ordinary household goods salesman to a chainsaw-wielding demon hunter. The dramaturgy relies not on quiet chills but on rapid timing, absurd situations, and bloody slapstick.

Horror meets musical and dark humor

The production thrives on deliberate contrast: severed limbs, demonic apparitions, and a chainsaw meet catchy musical numbers and pointed dialogues. The stage design conjures the atmosphere of a lonely forest cabin, while the lighting mood, acoustics, and rapid scene changes drive the stage experience between horror film parody and musical revue.

Theater atmosphere with cult film energy

Evil Dead - The Musical is not solely aimed at horror film fans. The show translates the motifs of the film series into an independent stage art, focusing on acting, grotesque physical comedy, and a deliberately exaggerated direction. The result is an evening of theater that disarms scares with a wink and draws the audience directly into the action with dark humor, music, and spectacular effects.

An evening for fans of quirky stage spectacles

The audience's reaction to the combination of cult film, musical, and splatter comedy thrives on surprise and shared exaggeration. Those expecting a classic musical aesthetic instead experience a wild genre mix: loud, bloody, comedic, and full of theatrical energy.

Conclusion: Chainsaw instead of boredom

Visitors to Bielefeld City Hall can expect an extraordinary stage experience filled with demons, dark humor, music, and deliberately exaggerated horror aesthetics. Those wishing to experience musical, cult cinema, and grotesque theatrical entertainment should secure their place in the front row of madness for this evening.
