A Cruise through Twenty Years of Theatre History

When the curtain rises on October 30, 2026, at the TOR 6 Theatre House, the Senior Theatre Group 'Now or Never' will take its audience on a special journey: Through Time serves as a scenic cruise through two decades of collaborative stage work.

23 Productions, 63 Participants, and a Vibrant Theatre Life

Since its founding in 2006, the group has developed 23 original productions. A total of 63 people have performed on stage in various casts. The works have addressed different thematic focuses and repeatedly engaged with questions of current events.

The new production is not intended as a classic piece with a continuous plot. Rather, it resembles a theatrical passage from port to port: Familiar scenes from past productions encounter new moments, and memories blend with present-day joy of performance.

Direction with a Personal Touch

Christine Lüdtke directs and shapes the dramaturgical journey through the group's archive. The actors perform as travelers, narrators, and stage personalities. Each stop opens a new perspective on the history of 'Now or Never' and on the themes that have occupied the ensemble over the years.

The technical design is handled by Ralf Bensel. A lively interplay of language, movement, memory, and direct audience interaction unfolds on stage. This closeness is an essential part of the special theatre atmosphere of the evening: The audience does not experience a museum-like retrospective but a current stage experience full of joy in performance.

Senior Theatre as Collective Stage Art

A central focus of the group lies in community. 'Now or Never' works without auditions and gives every member space to contribute their own talents and skills. This evolves into an ensemble art that does not aim for a flawless surface but rather emphasizes presence, experience, and the immediate power of play.

The production combines theatre history, personal memories, and social observations. It allows scenes from earlier works to shine again while surprising with new encounters. Thus, an eventful evening is created, whose dramaturgy does not follow a fixed travel route.

Premiere at the TOR 6 Theatre House

The premiere begins on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 7 PM. Doors open at 6 PM. The TOR 6 Theatre House at Hermann-Kleinewächter-Straße 4 is publicly accessible and barrier-free in the audience area. Reserved seating is available for wheelchair users. The venue does not offer general parking; traveling via city rail lines 3 and 4 or using the parking garage at the Town Hall is recommended.

Further performances will follow on October 31 and November 29, 2026, each at 4 PM. Tickets are available at a regular price of 14 Euros. Additionally, solidarity tickets for 20 Euros, discounted tickets for 8 Euros, student tickets for 5 Euros, and free tickets for holders of the Bielefeld Pass are available.

Conclusion: Theatre as a Journey through Shared Time

Through Time promises an evening where memory does not stand still but re-enters the game. The Senior Theatre Group 'Now or Never' transforms twenty years of ensemble work into an open, human, and surprising stage journey. Those who wish to experience theatre as encounter, as lived memory, and as immediate exchange will find a special evening at the TOR 6 Theatre House.
