The Three Gentlemen: A murderous autumn evening full of tension and situational comedy
When the lights are dimmed in the Movement Theater, a crime evening with a special twist begins: The Three Gentlemen bring their self-written cases from 1930s New York to Bielefeld. On Sunday, November 1, 2026, the performance combines classic live audio play, improvisation, live music, and dark humor for a varied stage experience.
Criminal cases with New York atmosphere
At the center are three investigators and their specially developed criminal stories. The historical backdrop of 1930s New York gives the evening a distinctive theatrical atmosphere: Between crimes, suspects, and surprising turns, a game of tension, absurdity, and pearls of situational comedy unfolds.
Audio play meets improvisation
The dramaturgy follows a two-part concept. In the first part, the audience experiences a classic short audio play, in which the three gentlemen speak into the gaps of a pre-produced backdrop. After the break, the production opens up for an improvised crime audio play, in which ideas from the audience are immediately woven in.
Tension, live music, and spontaneous humor
The art of acting thrives on precise timing, vocal design, and direct reactions to the audience. Live music expands the acoustic stage, while spontaneous ideas steer the plot in unexpected directions. This creates a lively theater evening, the course of which only takes its final shape at the moment of performance.
A crime evening for curious theater fans
The Three Gentlemen combine classic audio play tradition with improvisational theater and a hefty dose of dark humor. The result is an exciting, witty, and surprising stage experience, where the audience does not just watch but also shapes the development of the evening.
Conclusion: A murderous autumn evening in the Movement Theater promises crime tension, live music, pointed situational comedy, and spontaneous audience reactions. Anyone who enjoys experiencing theater directly, unusually, and with a wink should not miss this live audio play evening in Bielefeld.
