Discover Art with All Senses at the Peter August Böckstiegel Museum
On Saturday, November 14, 2026, the Peter August Böckstiegel Museum invites you to a special guided tour for people with visual impairments and blindness. Art educator Maria Ferreira-Obenhaus will provide an in-depth access to selected works from the current special exhibition from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
Illustrative Descriptions and Local Art History
The focus of the city tour through the exhibition will be detailed image descriptions, understandable background information, and the stories behind the artworks. The tour makes artistic materials, forms, compositions, and contexts linguistically tangible and creates space for questions and exchange.
An Inclusive Discovery Experience
The Peter August Böckstiegel Museum combines cultural heritage with accessible art education. The selected works will be presented in a way that considers different forms of perception. This creates a cultural enrichment where art is explored in conversation and experienced with all senses.
A Museum in Werther with a Special Atmosphere
The Peter August Böckstiegel Museum is located in Werther (Westphalia) and is dedicated to the expressionist artist Peter August Böckstiegel and his artistic environment. The combination of exhibition, artist house, and Westphalian surroundings creates an authentic place for a focused encounter with art and local history.
