The production links movement and jazz-rock technique from the 1980s Paris, called Jeux de Jambes, and thrives on a physically-oriented stage performance that closely intertwines rhythm and expression.
Homesickness, Otherness, Inner Arrival: Ilemum
Ilemum leads into a poetic dance language about belonging and identity. The work does not address the foreign as distance, but as part of a journey that ends within oneself. With music by Johann Sebastian Bach, Yann Tiersen, and Bonga among others, a multilayered orchestration of feelings arises, supported by a clear dramaturgy and sensitive synchronization of body, light, and sound.
Control and Alienation: Panopticon
After the break, Panopticon follows as a solo that combines physical theater with urban street dance styles. Vasiliki Papapostolou, also known as Tarantism, creates a piece about control, societal pressure, and the alienation of the body in an increasingly predictable world.
