Fehlfarben classic live: Thomas Schwebel brings 33 Days in Chains to Bielefeld

On November 14, 2026, the Forum Bielefeld will transform into a meeting point for all who want to experience German-speaking post-punk, angular guitars, and musical history live. Thomas Schwebel and his band will perform the Fehlfarben album 33 Days in Chains in full length. The support act will be Die Radierer.

An album between punk, pop, and departure

33 Days in Chains was released in 1981 as the second studio album by Fehlfarben. After Peter Hein's departure, Thomas Schwebel took over the vocals and moved from guitarist to frontman. The concert focuses on this formative phase of Düsseldorf's post-punk history and brings the songs back into a live context through a concentrated stage performance.

Thomas Schwebel and the Fehlfarben DNA

Schwebel is one of the important figures in the German punk and new wave scene. Before Fehlfarben, he was active in bands like S.Y.P.H. and Mittagspause. The complete performance of 33 Days in Chains creates a concert experience that combines historical album dramaturgy, sharply contoured guitars, and driving rhythm.

Die Radierer open the concert evening

Die Radierer will accompany the evening as support. The band represents an unconventional combination of punk, Dada, electronic sound colors, and subversive lyrics. Their experimental aesthetic sets a fitting stage for an evening where the boundaries between concert, scene chronicle, and club culture blur.

Live at Forum Bielefeld

The Forum is located in the traditional Boge-Fabrik at Meller Straße and has been one of the defining live clubs in the Bielefeld music scene for decades. The industrial surroundings enhance the immediate live atmosphere: close to the stage, directly in the sound, and with space for an intense audience vibe.

Conclusion: Visitors can expect a special concert evening featuring a complete Fehlfarben classic, Thomas Schwebel's defining voice, and the idiosyncratic support from Die Radierer. Those who want to not only hear German post-punk history but feel it physically will experience this album best live at Forum Bielefeld.
